Carmen Rustenbeck is Executive Director & Founder of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), a non-profit professional business association for the pet care services industry. She has been involved in non-profit work for over 20 years and active in the pet care industry since 2004. Carmen founded IBPSA in 2010 and has dedicated herself to building a member-centered organization that promotes business education, best practices, and profit-maximizing strategies for the safety and security of pet clients and staff, and for the financial future of association members.

In 2017, her association presented its fifth annual IBPSA Pet Care Services Educational Conference & Trade Show, attracting hundreds of pet care professionals to learn from and be inspired by speakers and vendors from around the country. Under her guidance, IBPSA has presented six Pricing For Profit workshops, designed to help pet care providers price their services correctly and maximize profits. In 2017, Carmen also oversaw the launch of IBPSA’s digital magazine, Pet Care Pro Quarterly, doubled the association’s membership, and, in a one-day satellite media tour, spoke with more than two dozen television and radio stations, reaching more than 350,000, to educate about canine influenza. She has an innate gift for understanding the needs of her pet care provider members to help them achieve financial and personal goals. In 2018, Carmen was named a Pet Age Women of Influence winner.
